ABOUT KASSIE KELSO
Kassie Kelso is a Costume Designer based in New York. She graduated with a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Design and Technical Theatre at Binghamton University (SUNY)in May 2020. She was hired by the University later that year to work as Costume Shop Assistant and design the production of Macbeth.
While attending Binghamton University, Kassie also Co-Designed The Burial at Thebes (2019), and Assisted The Revolutionists for Rebecca Verpile (2018). While previously attending Santa Fe University of Art and Design, Kassie Co-Designed Hair and Makeup for Three Penny Opera (2017).
Kassie spent her 2019 summer in Princeton, Illinois, at Festival 56, designing the musical I Do! I Do! Summer of 2020, she spent it at Bigfork Playhouse working as a Costume Designer and stitcher.
She loves creating designs that dare the audience to dream; provoking emotions of love, hate, discomfort, and anger. She combines her loves of fantasy and Art History to create vivid, bold, and specifically emblematic designs.
She made her way to New York for college after growing up in New Mexico for 18 years. She is the proud dog mom of her Boston Terrier; Sammy (See Contact page).
